She is the esteemed founder of the Metaphysical Anatomy Healing Technique, a transformative approach that empowers people to resolve past traumas and embrace successful and fulfilling lives by drawing deep knowledge of psychosomatic research.

Key Moments:

Key Takeaways:

  • Sometimes we can subconsciously project our need for healing and worthiness into our jobs and hobbies without realising!
  • Everything we use in life has an expiration date because we are continually experiencing growth. Tools are stepping stones.
  • Interrupting a natural healing response (such as shaking) can add years to a healing journey! The best thing you can do for someone experiencing a panic attack is to stay at eye level with them and speak in a calm voice and be a compassionate witness.
  • Emotions are so important. If you don’t allow yourself to feel your emotions, your intuition will be shut down.
  • Having awareness of the issue is already halfway there toward finding a resolution.
  • Trauma is not only emotional, but chemical!
  • It’s important to address the reptilian brain when healing from trauma too.
  • It can be especially hard for Empaths on their healing journey - boundaries are very important.

Speaker:

It has a massive plot twist.

Speaker:

Are you ready?

Speaker:

The level of detail that you explain it in, it makes such such sense that

Speaker:

I don't think there's gonna be a single person watching this that isn't

Speaker:

thinking, oh yeah, I can see that.

Speaker:

I was so stuck in such an unresourceful place, so helpless.

Speaker:

I felt so powerless, and it was because if I lacked knowledge, I lacked awareness.

Speaker:

I was subconsciously punishing my body for causing me to feel feelings

Speaker:

that I didn't understand, and I didn't know how to deal with it.

Speaker:

So many people wanna do it all by themselves, and when you have to

Speaker:

go and deal with your dark, dark shadow by yourself, your chances of

Speaker:

sabotaging it is incredibly high.

Speaker:

My own breakthrough was that I was avoiding the past.

Speaker:

I based my entire life living in fear that it will happen again.

Speaker:

People are addicted to a high paced lifestyle.

Speaker:

Why?

Speaker:

We are addicted to the cortisol.

Speaker:

We are addicted to the adrenaline.

Speaker:

I feel powerless to my emotions.

Speaker:

That's why a lot of people can't meditate.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Because then they feel, because when that chatter stops, when all the chaos

Speaker:

stops, when all the drama stops, we can't feel, I didn't realize consciously

Speaker:

that I was designing something that wouldn't make you relive trauma with,

Speaker:

well, uh, you don't need to know the root causes to heal, you know, fears,

Speaker:

phobias, you know, emotional trauma.

Speaker:

We work with pain, we work with addictions, I think it's fundamentally

Speaker:

different to so many different other techniques and so, so important.

Speaker:

I am so happy to introduce a new guest to my podcast today, Evette Rose.

Speaker:

Now Evette is an author of 19 books.

Speaker:

Yes, you heard that right?

Speaker:

One nine.

Speaker:

Quite incredible.

Speaker:

Uh, she's a personal development speaker, event host, workshop

Speaker:

facilitator, and she's dedicated her life to giving individuals all the help

Speaker:

they need on their healing journeys.

Speaker:

She's the founder of the Metaphysical Anatomy Healing Technique, which

Speaker:

we're gonna learn lots about today.

Speaker:

A transformational approach that empowers people to resolve past traumas and

Speaker:

embrace successful and fulfilling lives.

Speaker:

Through her compassion, wisdom, natural healing abilities, Evette has

Speaker:

become a trusted source of support and transformation for individuals seeking

Speaker:

a profound healing and personal growth.

Speaker:

Now, I first came across you, Evette, a long while ago, and this is a

Speaker:

very well used book, this big book.

Speaker:

You would not believe how much I carry this around for me.

Speaker:

And for those of you that haven't got this book yet, you will by the

Speaker:

end of the interview, metaphysical anatomy, your body is talking.

Speaker:

Are you listening?

Speaker:

And we are gonna be finding out a lot more about this today.

Speaker:

But Evette, first and foremost, very big welcome to my podcast.

Speaker:

Uh, how are you doing today?

Speaker:

Thank you so much for inviting me first, and thank you for the warm

Speaker:

introduction and welcome to everyone who's also listening here with us.

Speaker:

Thank you for your love, your time, and your energy, and I'm

Speaker:

doing actually really great today.

Speaker:

Today is Monday and I love Mondays.

Speaker:

I love the start of the energy of the week, you know, the anticipation

Speaker:

of getting into projects.

Speaker:

So today I am feeling very excited, so I'm glad that we chose this

Speaker:

day just energetically for me as well to really dive into this

Speaker:

wonderful time with everyone here.

Speaker:

So I'm so excited.

Speaker:

I can feel the energy, I can feel it.

Speaker:

It's amazing.

Speaker:

I just wanted to say that today's episode is sponsored by

Speaker:

ASEA Redox signaling molecules.

Speaker:

Now it comes in two forms, the liquid and the gel.

Speaker:

Plus, there's a huge other product range for us.

Speaker:

Um, but why did I start taking ASEA and why is it now an integral

Speaker:

part of something that my whole family, both four-legged and

Speaker:

two-legged take every single day?

Speaker:

Plus also something that all the clients I work with, again,

Speaker:

four-legged and two-legged, it's number one on my priority list.

Speaker:

Well, part of what I do, what I'm passionate about is understanding the

Speaker:

challenges that are affecting each and every one of us in today's modern living.

Speaker:

Um, the more you know, the more sometimes you wish you didn't know,

Speaker:

but the pollution in the air, in the water, in the food, um, the

Speaker:

control of our minds, the propaganda.

Speaker:

But one of the things that we can do is take back

Speaker:

responsibility for our own health.

Speaker:

Now, every single cell of our body, whether we're an animal, whether we're

Speaker:

one of the dogs in the backgrounds or one of my plants, contain

Speaker:

these redox signaling molecules.

Speaker:

And cellular health and cellular communication is absolutely key.

Speaker:

Whether you want to get your body back in balance, whether you want to reverse

Speaker:

the aging process, whether you want to address any particular challenges that

Speaker:

you've got physically, emotionally.

Speaker:

It all starts with healthy cells.

Speaker:

If your liver cells are healthy, your liver's healthy.

Speaker:

If your brain cells are healthy, your brain's healthy.

Speaker:

But just like a mobile phone, most of us have got mobile phones that we.

Speaker:

We use on a routine basis now, but that mobile phone, regardless of

Speaker:

whether you've got the latest model, is completely useless without a signal.

Speaker:

So what does this technology do?

Speaker:

Um, the, the gel is something that you can apply topically over particular

Speaker:

areas of concern, whether you want your skin to look better, whether you've

Speaker:

got cellulite, whether you've got an area that's causing you a challenge.

Speaker:

The liquid is something you drink each and every day to top up what

Speaker:

should be in your cells anyway.

Speaker:

But when our bodies are stressed, disease challenged, or as we

Speaker:

age, we make less of them.

Speaker:

So, personally, I wouldn't be without a it.

Speaker:

My sleep's better, my energy levels are better, my mood's

Speaker:

better, my mobility's better.

Speaker:

If you wanna find out more, the details are below.

Speaker:

But I'm so grateful that this came into my life and I'm so grateful

Speaker:

I can share it with others.

Speaker:

I hope you love it as much as I do.

Speaker:

Let me know.

Speaker:

So let's start off, because we haven't had you on the podcast before yet.

Speaker:

Uh, can you just give an introduction as to how did you get into this healing

Speaker:

journey and helping others along theirs?

Speaker:

I would love to because it has a massive plot twist.

Speaker:

Are you ready?

Speaker:

So, I started out as a child where I wanted to be a lawyer.

Speaker:

I wanted to be a crime scene investigator.

Speaker:

I loved the mystery of the body and understanding and looking for

Speaker:

symptoms and signs and, you know, how do you put things together?

Speaker:

Why did this happen?

Speaker:

You know, what's a chronological order for someone's behavior By doing that,

Speaker:

you know, I really was very interested in understanding the psychology, but

Speaker:

from a more different perspective, where I wanted to help people who were

Speaker:

victims of abuse, victims of violence, victims of, you know, sexual abuse

Speaker:

and all this type of things, and.

Speaker:

What was interesting, what, at the time, what I didn't realize was that this was

Speaker:

a part of me, this was my inner child that was actually seeking my own justice.

Speaker:

I was seeking my own answers because of what had happened to me.

Speaker:

So my history, just in brief, you know, it also involved a lot of violence.

Speaker:

There was a lot of sexual assault, and my dad was, to put it in short, he

Speaker:

was a medically diagnosed sociopath.

Speaker:

He was a drug addict.

Speaker:

He was a very volatile person, and man who could, emotionally and psychologically

Speaker:

not rationalize the way as we as average people would like, something goes wrong.

Speaker:

And I'm like, you don't feel bad about it.

Speaker:

My dad felt nothing.

Speaker:

So for me, it, it baffled me to understand as someone who's meant to be a role

Speaker:

model, How are we mismatching each other in mirroring, like where, you know, my

Speaker:

mom's the peacekeeper, she was the one that just tried to hold it all together.

Speaker:

And I think I'm, I'm saying because of her, you know, her influence, her

Speaker:

calmness, her love, very spiritual person, but the typical empath that

Speaker:

attracted the narcissist, right?

Speaker:

So this is the perfect setup and I'm growing up on this platform.

Speaker:

So this was actually where my life really wanted to deep down, pull

Speaker:

me into, was to become the voice for others who couldn't speak.

Speaker:

And I think subconsciously through that, I wanted to speak through myself

Speaker:

in a way that made me feel safe, in a way that made me feel worthy because

Speaker:

my worthiness was a really big problem for me that helped me back so, You

Speaker:

know, as we do as empaths, you know, we live our life and dreams through other

Speaker:

people by wanting to sincerely help.

Speaker:

But we get lost in that too.

Speaker:

That's kind of like where my, my journey took me.

Speaker:

And so I actually studied, I studied my, my L l B a bit and I started

Speaker:

the investigator, you know, private investigator, um, the crime scene

Speaker:

investigator, um, studies as well until one day when I was in my early

Speaker:

twenties, I was still in South Africa.

Speaker:

Right.

Speaker:

So I'm from South Africa and grew up in Namibia, but moved back to South Africa.

Speaker:

Which was tough, you know, I was, I'm pulled into a world where there's

Speaker:

no, where racism doesn't exist and now suddenly, you know, there's

Speaker:

this black and white neighborhoods we can't talk to each other.

Speaker:

And I'm like, well, my neighbor in South Africa, we were making mud cakes just

Speaker:

last week and now I'm in a country where I can't ride on my bicycle to school.

Speaker:

Like what is this?

Speaker:

You know?

Speaker:

So for me, it took me back a lot of few steps as well.

Speaker:

And you know, with Psychol, I had to go see psychologist.

Speaker:

I couldn't adapt to this change.

Speaker:

So this is where I got fell in love with psychology.

Speaker:

I'm like, wow, look at these psychologists and you know, this is really interesting

Speaker:

how people are helping each other and.

Speaker:

I went to a hospital once, a, a friend that was living next door

Speaker:

was in a very severe car accident.

Speaker:

No one was answering.

Speaker:

So me and a few other people went together and supported him in this,

Speaker:

uh, south African public hospital.

Speaker:

I mean, you walk in and you just have all these people just lying

Speaker:

there cuz there's not enough beds, it's a government hospital.

Speaker:

And they were not doing well at that point.

Speaker:

And someone just came in with a, with an emergency patient with a

Speaker:

wheelchair, just literally rolled in the wheelchair and said, puncture

Speaker:

in the throat, help need help now.

Speaker:

And we're all standing in one room where five people are

Speaker:

being treated by two doctors.

Speaker:

And this wheelchair stopped right in front of me and this guy looked at me

Speaker:

and he rolled back and he was gone.

Speaker:

And I sat there and it hit me.

Speaker:

It hit me so hard, you know, this is someone's son, husband.

Speaker:

Um, you know, it, it ended up being, there was a dispute

Speaker:

between the husband and the wife.

Speaker:

She thought he was cheating, so she stabbed him with the, with

Speaker:

the wire in the neck, and it hit the, one of the main arteries.

Speaker:

So you couldn't see the damage.

Speaker:

The damage was internal, and I'm just like, this is what I would have to look at

Speaker:

if I really wanna become what I'm doing.

Speaker:

And the reality, the true reality hit me of what I was studying

Speaker:

for, what I was trying to, you know, grapple with and deal with.

Speaker:

And I realized that I don't have the heart.

Speaker:

To do that.

Speaker:

I don't have the heart to see this.

Speaker:

I would be an absolute emotional mess, and I'm thankful not for this

Speaker:

person who that happened to, but this moment because it made me realize I

Speaker:

was stepping into the wrong direction.

Speaker:

So I stayed in business, um, studies, and I went to Australia, and long

Speaker:

story short, again, at 23, I just had absolutely enough my life was destructive.

Speaker:

I was, you know, abusing alcohol and cigarettes and so many other destructive

Speaker:

ways of exercise vigorously to just get the energy and the anxiety out.

Speaker:

I had a lot of, you know, um, psychological disorders and stress,

Speaker:

and my trauma was coming out in such distorted ways because it

Speaker:

was channeled in these studies.

Speaker:

It was channeling, you know, the release of my anger and everything

Speaker:

was coming through in these studies by seeing it as a solution.

Speaker:

Right.

Speaker:

Subconscious solution.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

And now I didn't have that anymore and boom, that cut when I realized.

Speaker:

Something has to give.

Speaker:

There's something going on that I need to look at.

Speaker:

So I hit a crossroad where I decided this was gonna be it.

Speaker:

I was gonna end my life when I was 23.

Speaker:

And I called my boss five o'clock in the morning, left the voice message,

Speaker:

handover all my projects to her, and we gave all my passwords, and that was it.

Speaker:

And I waited for my partner to go to work, said I was sick, and I Googled

Speaker:

how to end my life painlessly.

Speaker:

But what was interesting, what struck me is a message for the first time

Speaker:

in my life came forward so strong.

Speaker:

It was not an, I wouldn't say clear ent, but it felt like a voice.

Speaker:

But it wasn't a voice, and it didn't feel clear either, because I have

Speaker:

had clear orient moments now, and I realize now, back then, that

Speaker:

wasn't really fully what it was.

Speaker:

But someone said, you're asking the wrong question.

Speaker:

How about how to be happy?

Speaker:

I kid you not.

Speaker:

It was so simple.

Speaker:

How to be happy.

Speaker:

And I typed it in.

Speaker:

And now remember I was raised Christian, I was raised with a lot of, you know that

Speaker:

God will punish you if you don't do this.

Speaker:

God hates people who you know causes sin.

Speaker:

You are born with sense of, I'm washed in all this shame and

Speaker:

all this God fear-based beliefs.

Speaker:

And now I'm seeing Doreen Virtue.

Speaker:

I'm seeing Neil Donald Walsh.

Speaker:

I'm seeing crystals.

Speaker:

And I'm like, you know, so I went from being a Christian to becoming an atheist

Speaker:

where I had, and I wrote about this in my autobiography, you know, where I'm

Speaker:

like, F you God, you know, I hate you.

Speaker:

You know all this.

Speaker:

Why did you allow all of this?

Speaker:

You know, as a 13 year old, I'm like, what are you?

Speaker:

And so it was a very hateful relationship that I had with the spiritual side.

Speaker:

And now I'm confronted with having to step back into something that

Speaker:

I absolutely hated that failed me, but I didn't understand it, of

Speaker:

course, as well as what I needed to.

Speaker:

So I took a deep breath.

Speaker:

And then the message came where I was like, screw this.

Speaker:

You know, this is nonsense.

Speaker:

What is this?

Speaker:

And I was very, you know, I was very defensive in that moment.

Speaker:

But the message came again and it's like, well, do you have a better option?

Speaker:

Look what you're doing.

Speaker:

Wow.

Speaker:

And I'm like, all right, I'm just gonna, I'm just gonna put my pride

Speaker:

where it needs to be, which is in the back seat, and I'm going to just

Speaker:

have to see where does this take me?

Speaker:

Because deep down, I didn't want to go.

Speaker:

I didn't.

Speaker:

But I was coming from, I was so stuck in such an unresourceful place,

Speaker:

so helpless, I felt so powerless.

Speaker:

And it was because if I lacked knowledge, I lacked awareness.

Speaker:

I just knew I was in so much pain and I knew something needed to

Speaker:

happen, but I didn't know why.

Speaker:

And I always say awareness of a problems a problem have solved.

Speaker:

Because when you have awareness of a problem, then you at least can start

Speaker:

looking what solutions to apply.

Speaker:

I wasn't even there yet.

Speaker:

Right.

Speaker:

I was at the point of building the awareness.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

And so, Yeah.

Speaker:

And so that's where I just dived into this.

Speaker:

So three months later, long story short, again, three months later I'm

Speaker:

into Crystals, you know, healing work, energy work, and I'm seeing the changes

Speaker:

and I'm like, whoa, this is amazing.

Speaker:

And I quit my office job.

Speaker:

I partnered up with someone else.

Speaker:

We started a company with work that I designed and brought together and

Speaker:

worked based on what I felt worked for me, because everything that we

Speaker:

use in life has an expiration date.

Speaker:

And you know, it's kind of like, and it's because you grow, because every

Speaker:

tool and technique out there serves a purpose and they are fundamentally

Speaker:

needed and important, and it helps us to support us as, as stepping stones.

Speaker:

So I, I hit these stepping stones in these walls as well, and that's

Speaker:

why I designed my own process where it can take me a step further to

Speaker:

where I personally want it to be.

Speaker:

And it worked.

Speaker:

Absolutely worked.

Speaker:

And so then, you know, put everything on YouTube and then the, the work went viral.

Speaker:

And so people ask me, which I know you're probably gonna ask me as

Speaker:

well, so what was so different or great about what you were doing?

Speaker:

Yeah, so the thing is, I, I, I went to, and, and this is where the, the big plot

Speaker:

twist also came in my journey because I, I realized what the uniqueness was of it.

Speaker:

I didn't realize consciously that I was designing something that wouldn't make you

Speaker:

relive trauma with, well, uh, you don't need to know the root causes to heal.

Speaker:

If you want to know the root causes, then you can jump into this.

Speaker:

And there's so many other free references and resources that I have.

Speaker:

But, and you didn't need to know memories of what happened because some, I, I

Speaker:

remember a lot of things very clearly.

Speaker:

Unfortunately, a lot of the abuse parts, but there's also other

Speaker:

parts that I don't remember and.

Speaker:

I'm sitting there and I'm, and I'm, and I'm looking at the psychologist and

Speaker:

lady that I was working with as a child.

Speaker:

She's like, well, if you don't really remember what happened, then that's okay.

Speaker:

Well we can talk about it and stuff.

Speaker:

And I'm like, well, what's the point?

Speaker:

You know?

Speaker:

So, okay.

Speaker:

I had such an attachment to needing to know what happened in order to

Speaker:

heal it, but I realized that that is what helped my greatest pain in place.

Speaker:

Sometimes we just have to let go of something that we always can dive

Speaker:

deep into, because if we have what's called implicit memories, explicit

Speaker:

memory, sorry, that's when the brain, your left side goes, the communication

Speaker:

lies, shuts down because of trauma.

Speaker:

And then we don't have direct access back to the memory.

Speaker:

But your environment can trigger the biochemical memory and response

Speaker:

of those emotions, and it comes back and you have anxiety, you

Speaker:

have depression, you have heart palpitations, and you have no idea why.

Speaker:

Because we can't recall the memory.

Speaker:

So what do we do with these people?

Speaker:

Did you just say good luck?

Speaker:

No, because I was one of them.

Speaker:

And so this is why I started to realize in my process and my modality, that

Speaker:

emotions is very important to focus on.

Speaker:

Because memories by the fifth time that we try to go back to a memory,

Speaker:

the 50% of its validity has changed.

Speaker:

Because every time the state of mind that you are in and the way that you

Speaker:

recall the memory and then the way that you file back the memory when

Speaker:

you're done, this constantly shifts and changes and ads, assumptions and

Speaker:

flashes and other aspects to this memory.

Speaker:

So the memory actually keeps changing.

Speaker:

I think that's a really important point, Evette, for people to realize

Speaker:

that, you know, this is that one of the things that I just think is so powerful,

Speaker:

there's so much about your technique, that the fact that you don't have to go

Speaker:

back there and relive it, I think is.

Speaker:

Fundamentally different to so many different other techniques.

Speaker:

And so, so important for the, for part of the reasons you said, but also

Speaker:

about, one of the things I love that you talk about a lot is the completion

Speaker:

of the trauma and the different, the ways that you know, animals, you

Speaker:

will see, shake and then shake it off, shiver and then shake it off.

Speaker:

Whereas we don't see that in the humans.

Speaker:

Can you talk us through how significant that is in your technique?

Speaker:

That is tremendous.

Speaker:

That's actually really super important.

Speaker:

Now, what's great about the technique is that we don't have to shake.

Speaker:

Yeah, but the body forgot how to complete its trauma process.

Speaker:

And that's because we what, what, what, what would you do, right?

Speaker:

If you, for example, had not a lot of experience with healing

Speaker:

work or anything like that, or how to assist a traumatized person.

Speaker:

I mean, even the emergency response systems.

Speaker:

I, I, I, I hit on their heads quite hard when I was teaching in Germany,

Speaker:

and there was actually one person in there from this response team that

Speaker:

was just quite interested in the work.

Speaker:

And when he heard my theory and reported it back, they started to change how they

Speaker:

deal and respond to traumatized victims.

Speaker:

Because firstly, what would you do if you see someone hyperventilating?

Speaker:

We panic.

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

Oh, oh, goodness.

Speaker:

You know, what do we do?

Speaker:

Get a blanket.

Speaker:

Breathe.

Speaker:

Breathe.

Speaker:

You know, and it's like, lie down, lie down.

Speaker:

You interfere with the process.

Speaker:

Oh my God.

Speaker:

That, that locks in the process because the person now doesn't feel safe.

Speaker:

Mm.

Speaker:

Your body will only regulate a traumatic event and it feels safe.

Speaker:

But it's the how it reaches the point of safety that is fundamentally important.

Speaker:

So if you wanna be part of someone's solution, if someone hyperventilates,

Speaker:

and I'm sure anyone that suffers some anxiety or panic attacks, which I did,

Speaker:

and what I found works for me is if you put your shoulders back and you

Speaker:

look up at the roof and you just open your mouth a little bit and breathe.

Speaker:

Because what happens is when you hyperventilate the body goes,

Speaker:

instead of fake hypoxia, it thinks that it can't breathe.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

And when the body thinks that it can breathe, it gets stressed

Speaker:

even more because now it's, now it's faced with a threat that it

Speaker:

doesn't like because it's the body.

Speaker:

So job to keep you alive.

Speaker:

If you can't breathe, you're gonna die.

Speaker:

Mm-hmm.

Speaker:

And the body knows that.

Speaker:

So now the body's gonna go into even more hyperactive mode

Speaker:

trying to get you out of it.

Speaker:

But if you just do a simple task like that and you and the body can

Speaker:

feel I'm breathing, wait, wait, wait.

Speaker:

I'm okay.

Speaker:

There's someone next to me that is calm, that can give me calm advice.

Speaker:

That compassionate with right.

Speaker:

Dr.

Speaker:

Robert Scarr and, uh, Dr.

Speaker:

Dr.

Speaker:

Robert Levine, they all talk about this, the compassionate witness,

Speaker:

listen to the word compassionate.

Speaker:

Not freaking out nut job, you know, support system that's

Speaker:

panicking there with you.

Speaker:

Same with someone in a car accident or that just witnessed a severe accident.

Speaker:

What do they do?

Speaker:

It's very often that they start screaming or they start to shake.

Speaker:

And what do the support people do?

Speaker:

Oh, let's put a blanket over you.

Speaker:

The body goes cold and it's not because you're actually cold because of shock.

Speaker:

The body's trying to induce the shake response so that the autonomic

Speaker:

nervous system can shake, because that's how it regulates itself.

Speaker:

But what do we do?

Speaker:

We tranquilize, we put a blanket over, so we literally stop

Speaker:

a natural healing response.

Speaker:

And the moment when you interfere with the healing response, you have

Speaker:

just added at least 10 to 15 years of psychological work for that person to

Speaker:

get back to that trauma and to shift it.

Speaker:

Wow.

Speaker:

Right.

Speaker:

So this is very, very important.

Speaker:

If you don't know what to do, the best thing that you can do is just

Speaker:

to stay eye level with someone.

Speaker:

Neutralize your voice and keep it very calm as I'm speaking to you right now.

Speaker:

You are in control.

Speaker:

Everything is okay because if you are not panicking, the other person's

Speaker:

gonna be like, well, it should be okay.

Speaker:

Right.

Speaker:

So a neutral voice actually has an effect on the hippocampus.

Speaker:

That's our emotional brain, and it has a very soothing effect on the

Speaker:

amygdala, which is our panic button.

Speaker:

It's soothing.

Speaker:

That's why it's almost, I call it like reading a bedtime

Speaker:

story to a child voice, right?

Speaker:

Because the amygdala has the maturity of a four-year-old.

Speaker:

So it's important, like what would you do with the four-year-old child

Speaker:

having a massive melano tantrum?

Speaker:

Stay calm.

Speaker:

It's the same for us, right?

Speaker:

Same for us as adults.

Speaker:

So I went to a lady that caused me to relive a trauma because

Speaker:

that's how she shifts trauma.

Speaker:

Well, that's great.

Speaker:

You didn't tell me that.

Speaker:

No one wants to relive sexual abuse.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Cuz that's what the session is about.

Speaker:

And she had the same trauma and when she saw my response, which was

Speaker:

very severe, and I, I'm not gonna go into it because I, I, this is not a

Speaker:

trigger show, this is a healing show.

Speaker:

But it was very bad and she couldn't get me out of it because

Speaker:

she was so triggered by seeing me.

Speaker:

And here we're both triggered and I called the taxi, I said, I need to go.

Speaker:

And that's when I called a friend and I said, here's my, here's my technique.

Speaker:

Talk me through it right now because I, I, I can't think straight.

Speaker:

And she talked me through it and 10 minutes later I was

Speaker:

regulated and I was back on track.

Speaker:

Because the thing when you work with mats that we work with emotions.

Speaker:

I don't care what the gory story is because a lot of people

Speaker:

don't wanna go back to that.

Speaker:

And that's okay.

Speaker:

But what people can talk about is how do you feel in relationship to that?

Speaker:

Now we're getting to it.

Speaker:

Emotions are accurate.

Speaker:

Emotions are, is what I would call the GPS of the soul.

Speaker:

But we set up our lives to avoid emotions because we don't

Speaker:

like to feel what we feel.

Speaker:

We feel powerless in relation to what we're feeling.

Speaker:

But what's frustrating for me is when we, for when I realized,

Speaker:

you know, my own breakthrough was that I was avoiding the past.

Speaker:

That doesn't exist anymore.

Speaker:

But I based my entire life by coping strategies based on something

Speaker:

that's not real, but living in fear that it will happen again.

Speaker:

And I made my future decisions constantly.

Speaker:

Every decision that you make in that state of fear is defining your fear.

Speaker:

So you're building a fear-based future and most often making all the wrong

Speaker:

decisions because it's not coming from a place of clarity and calmness where you

Speaker:

can feel your way through it properly.

Speaker:

Because if you can feel your emotions, your intuition's gonna be shut down.

Speaker:

So how can you listen to your spirit guides?

Speaker:

How can you listen to divine guidance?

Speaker:

Period.

Speaker:

People tell me I can't connect to my intuition.

Speaker:

I'm like, that's nonsense.

Speaker:

You absolutely can.

Speaker:

What you can do is feel your emotions because that is what you haven't

Speaker:

befriended and seen it as the tool source to, as an access point to

Speaker:

resolve most of your problems.

Speaker:

This is so powerful.

Speaker:

Honestly, I'm, I'm, you know, I've been following your work for years,

Speaker:

but this is so brilliant because so many people at the moment have air.

Speaker:

With the world situation that's going on, people feeling control, not trusting.

Speaker:

I'm not gonna go too much into it cuz we're on YouTube and it's very heavily

Speaker:

censored, but you know what I mean?

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Comes in so many different ways.

Speaker:

It comes in a personal level that people have experienced either in this lifetime

Speaker:

ancestral trauma, which cover a lot of in your tr in your book, but it also

Speaker:

is sort of this collective trauma.

Speaker:

Um, when you said something really powerful about when you have the

Speaker:

awareness of what some of the issues are, you are halfway there and a lot

Speaker:

of people are waking up to thinking, wow, life isn't as I thought it was.

Speaker:

I don't necessarily have controls over things I thought I'd do.

Speaker:

And they're in this fear response and they're making decisions going

Speaker:

forward based in that fear response.

Speaker:

So your technique can be applied to all these different areas, can't it?

Speaker:

Absolutely.

Speaker:

So we work with, you know, fears, phobias, you know, emotional trauma.

Speaker:

We work with pain, we work with addictions.

Speaker:

We even go as far back as to, hence why I actually wrote this book.

Speaker:

My latest research is actually in this book, you know,

Speaker:

psychosomatics For for Children.

Speaker:

It's another big book as you can see.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

And what, what happens is we don't, I know that we have a biological

Speaker:

platform that's already laid out for us.

Speaker:

You know, I, I think over 400 predispositions and everything

Speaker:

that's already p laid out.

Speaker:

But, and that's before we even reach, you know, the, the

Speaker:

developmental stages in the womb.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

But now what happens is, on top of these, you know, characteristics

Speaker:

and everything that's being built, your mother's experience,

Speaker:

Plays a fundamentally big role.

Speaker:

I, I spent almost an entire day on just that because we always thought

Speaker:

that the placenta is a barrier between the mother and the child.

Speaker:

It's not, it's absolutely not.

Speaker:

Research has now blown that out of the water mothers who have

Speaker:

cancer, that's, that gives birth to children with tumors and cancer.

Speaker:

Like, you know, if, if it really was a barrier, then why is this

Speaker:

happening in the first place?

Speaker:

And so what scientists found, what I finally found as well, was that when you

Speaker:

look at the protein cells, which is part of a much bigger part of a cell, but

Speaker:

when you look at the specific protein section, these cells are responsible

Speaker:

for, um, the, the health of the placenta.

Speaker:

But these protein cells store and holds the mother's trauma.

Speaker:

Wow.

Speaker:

Did you know that?

Speaker:

That is, that is a fun, that is huge.

Speaker:

Because the placenta is what?

Speaker:

It's the startup of your being.

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

It's the startup.

Speaker:

Of your being.

Speaker:

And cortisol is poison.

Speaker:

It's poisonous to a child because what happens is, I mean, a certain

Speaker:

amount of cortisol is healthy.

Speaker:

It helps with growth and nerve factor, all these things, but overproduction of

Speaker:

it and, and staying it into long periods of time can actually damage the placenta.

Speaker:

It can cause learning the, uh, brain dysfunction in children with

Speaker:

learning problems, you know, lisping problems, um, organ failure problems.

Speaker:

It can cause a lot of deformities, um, psychologically and even physically.

Speaker:

So when they say that a pregnant mother should relax, People

Speaker:

shouldn't, people don't take it as seriously as what they should.

Speaker:

They don't, they don't seem to understand the impact of what can

Speaker:

happen when the mother is pregnant.

Speaker:

And I'm very conscious of that.

Speaker:

I'm, I have my rituals of, you know, cleansing and energy healing for this one.

Speaker:

And also when I had zah all these things, I'm very conscious of it because the more

Speaker:

conscious we are of it, the more awareness we have of it, the more we can take the

Speaker:

right steps to start to improve this.

Speaker:

But some people are like, well, I didn't have the awareness when I was pregnant.

Speaker:

Can I still change it?

Speaker:

Absolutely.

Speaker:

Absolutely.

Speaker:

And it's been shown in my research as well, again, and again and again,

Speaker:

when mothers work on the womb trauma that they had with their children.

Speaker:

It's tremendous.

Speaker:

And you, even the men, you know, they can go back to the time when they were

Speaker:

in their mother's womb and do the work and, and you know, regulate things and,

Speaker:

you know, differentiate between what my mom is feeling and what I'm feeling.

Speaker:

Her stress, her anxiety, her everything.

Speaker:

So it's, it's absolutely amazing how deep this can go.

Speaker:

And then coming back to emotions, one more thing I wanna add to

Speaker:

this, that's very important.

Speaker:

What people don't look at is our instinctive responses.

Speaker:

Oh yeah, that's one of the male culprits.

Speaker:

Why we don't heal.

Speaker:

Why remember, emotions and instincts, fire together and whatever in the body

Speaker:

fires together is gonna wire together, which means it formulates together as

Speaker:

a memory cognitively and throughout the cellular memory of the body, and also the

Speaker:

muscles that's dedicated to our instinct, the responses, and our nervous system,

Speaker:

you know, that helps with communication.

Speaker:

So when a subconscious memory is triggered, What is gonna happen, right?

Speaker:

The memory's gonna come up.

Speaker:

You're gonna feel all these emotions.

Speaker:

So you have emotional responses and memories coming forward, whether you are

Speaker:

aware of it or not, but you have instinct responses being triggered as well.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Right?

Speaker:

So now, and yeah.

Speaker:

So a lot of people just look at emotions.

Speaker:

How do I feel?

Speaker:

How do I feel?

Speaker:

Well, I feel like hiding.

Speaker:

Okay, well, let's, let's work on that.

Speaker:

Well, the body's gonna go like, well, no, I, I need to

Speaker:

keep my hiding predisposition.

Speaker:

Sorry.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

So the body's gonna stop.

Speaker:

It's gonna sabotage you.

Speaker:

And then people wonder why they don't get better.

Speaker:

There's a way to address the, the, the reptilian mind, right?

Speaker:

This is, this is our purity to responses.

Speaker:

Now, when you look at the back of your head, there's a knob.

Speaker:

So when you look at that knob, that's behi, that's right below it, that's

Speaker:

the start of the reptilian brain.

Speaker:

Everyone is about amygdala micala.

Speaker:

Well that's great, but it's a later of development in terms of how

Speaker:

it plays a relationship and role with the hippocampus and how it

Speaker:

formulates memories together as well.

Speaker:

But when you look at the evolutionary process, it started way back before

Speaker:

anything else started, right?

Speaker:

So it's one of the most hardwired processes and mechanisms

Speaker:

that we have in the body.

Speaker:

So when you look at, why don't I get better?

Speaker:

Well, maybe we need to understand how are we addressing this part of you that's

Speaker:

purely programmed to keep you alive?

Speaker:

It's programmed to keep you alive.

Speaker:

It doesn't care about falling in love, it doesn't care about money.

Speaker:

It doesn't care about any of these things that we are trying to achieve in life.

Speaker:

It just wants to stay alive.

Speaker:

So if you're working on a trauma that is held in place because it, the body

Speaker:

perceived a moment where you almost died and now you're trying to resolve it.

Speaker:

Well, I'm sorry, I, I love a lot of things that are out there, but this,

Speaker:

there's a lot of approaches that's just, that doesn't even touch on that.

Speaker:

It doesn't touch it.

Speaker:

So it might feel better in the moment, but it's not going to shift the

Speaker:

actual trauma and allow this reptilian mind to understand and realize, I

Speaker:

failed to overcome this trauma in the past, but I can be okay now.

Speaker:

Right.

Speaker:

So that's the difference between becoming resilient and becoming traumatized.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Is when you actually found a solution for the traumatic situation

Speaker:

in that moment or shortly after.

Speaker:

Hence why if you had access to the right thoughts or emotions, or you had

Speaker:

a compassionate witness support you through that, your chances of feeling

Speaker:

resilient in that moment, overcoming it, and for atilian mind to feel

Speaker:

actually more confident in relationship to that traumatic event is higher.

Speaker:

Then someone who felt like they completely collapsed.

Speaker:

And people who, who struggle with the freeze response take to struggle

Speaker:

a lot more with that as well.

Speaker:

Right.

Speaker:

Because it's like you just freeze.

Speaker:

There's no looking for resources or anything, or trusting the support

Speaker:

that might be there with you, or a, a compassionate witness, of course, would

Speaker:

have a much higher chance of when you are a parent and your child runs to

Speaker:

you, you're the compassionate witness.

Speaker:

Mm-hmm.

Speaker:

So that's, you know, it just gives you a really beautiful example of

Speaker:

how it can help a child and how being a compassionate witness can help

Speaker:

a person to regulate themselves.

Speaker:

But so now coming back to instinct, the responses, this mind, this reptilian

Speaker:

mind needs to understand that it's safe.

Speaker:

So let go of this.

Speaker:

So there's a bit of prepping, there's a bit of talking to it, there's a bit of

Speaker:

connecting to it, but also dismantling the relationship that the emotions

Speaker:

built with instinctive responses.

Speaker:

Because, and I, I don't care who wants to debate with me on this, because

Speaker:

with the thousands of people that I've worked with and the patterns and the

Speaker:

algorithms that I've seen, the instinctive response is, is triggered first.

Speaker:

Every single time.

Speaker:

I don't care what you're doing, whether you're pouring a glass, you and you nearly

Speaker:

dropped the glass, or whether you're sitting there and a friend tells you, I

Speaker:

don't wanna be friends with you anymore.

Speaker:

And like, oh, I feel really sad.

Speaker:

I feel very emotional.

Speaker:

And now you feel like you wanna go home, you wanna sit in your room,

Speaker:

your instinctive response is fired off first because they are wired nonstop.

Speaker:

They've even shown that the subconscious mind, which is also of course, deeply

Speaker:

connected to our instinct responses and how the body wires and listens

Speaker:

all the time, that even when you're in operating table, this happened in

Speaker:

Australia where you know, things were said about a patient while she was

Speaker:

absolutely knocked out full, full-blown surgery, and she could remember it.

Speaker:

Don't mess with the body because it's a lot smarter than what we think.

Speaker:

It's right.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

People just can't tune into it, can they?

Speaker:

So we've, I think of it, we've so many people, yeah.

Speaker:

Live so disconnected from nature that they've lost or connection to cells.

Speaker:

So most people can't even identify what foods agree with

Speaker:

them and what food people don't.

Speaker:

And you know, let alone said, if anything, well, that's pretty much

Speaker:

a survival instinct, isn't it?

Speaker:

Anyway.

Speaker:

So how do you start that process of people reconnecting in to themselves,

Speaker:

their intuition and their instincts?

Speaker:

Firstly, we have to befriend our emotions.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

And realize, because now what we have wired ourselves subconsciously with is

Speaker:

that I feel powerless to my emotions.

Speaker:

I feel helpless when I feel, I don't like to feel.

Speaker:

That's why a lot of people can meditate.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Because then they feel, because when that chatter stops, when all the chaos stops,

Speaker:

when all the drama stops, we can't feel.

Speaker:

And what happens is people are addicted to a high paced lifestyle.

Speaker:

Why?

Speaker:

We are addicted to the cortisol.

Speaker:

We are addicted to the adrenaline.

Speaker:

Why?

Speaker:

Because it gives us a high, you know, the, the blood flow vessels are wide open.

Speaker:

We feel the rush pupils have dilated.

Speaker:

The brain is thinking more clearly.

Speaker:

So we actually start to associate anxiety and drama.

Speaker:

With alertness and, and performing.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

That's why a lot of people who procrastinate, who, you know,

Speaker:

leave things to the last moment, and then they panic and it's,

Speaker:

you know, blah, blah, blah, blah.

Speaker:

And then suddenly they get everything done and then they have a breakdown

Speaker:

because they can't keep up that pace over a long period of time.

Speaker:

Mm.

Speaker:

Or we live our life in a way where we might work really hard, but we feel

Speaker:

like we're doing actually okay, I'm exercising, I'm eating all right.

Speaker:

But then suddenly these people come to me and they go like, Evette, but I, I,

Speaker:

I, I suddenly started insomnia and now I have anxiety, and now I have depression.

Speaker:

But my life actually feels really great.

Speaker:

And that's because we've wired this path.

Speaker:

Like if you look at the cornfield and you walk a path every day, You start to

Speaker:

see that path because the path becomes so clear and you start walking through

Speaker:

it much faster because you don't have things to clear out of the way The mind

Speaker:

works the same when we, when we adapt to a certain behavioral pattern, like

Speaker:

we get to the end result much faster, which could, which could now be the

Speaker:

reward, but also then the anxiety.

Speaker:

So with the faster we get to the reward, it's like, well

Speaker:

now it's the, it's wearing off.

Speaker:

The excitement's gone.

Speaker:

Now I need to figure out something else.

Speaker:

What else can I do?

Speaker:

What else?

Speaker:

Chaos.

Speaker:

What other drama can I create?

Speaker:

So over time, we subconsciously start to get addicted to this

Speaker:

toxic way of life, right?

Speaker:

All these, you know, fake false dophin releases and rewards is happening.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

It's a, it's, it's a toxic, um, Way to exist.

Speaker:

But then we also have the other flip side where we have people who would, you know,

Speaker:

get stuck in behavioral patterns to avoid feeling certain emotions from the past.

Speaker:

Right.

Speaker:

So, because if, for example, if you look at a plant that has been in the desert

Speaker:

and it hasn't had rain, it's about to die and you give it a drop of water.

Speaker:

Wow.

Speaker:

You know, it's like, because the contrast of in relation to what I've

Speaker:

had all this time, which was the stress, and now there's becomes the relief,

Speaker:

but the drop in reality is 5% Yes.

Speaker:

Of what your true reality is.

Speaker:

But in that moment, that drop feels like the 95%.

Speaker:

Mm-hmm.

Speaker:

And so we set up our lives to get back to that 95%.

Speaker:

So we end up chasing something that is not even that important

Speaker:

or that relevant because we are looking for that instant relief.

Speaker:

And that's how we get addicted to that.

Speaker:

And then we, you know, once the addiction is set in and the pathways are set

Speaker:

in, it's much harder to break that.

Speaker:

So we are dealing with conscious and subconscious addictions to either

Speaker:

emotions, food lifestyles, coping mechanisms, and, and brain chemistry.

Speaker:

So we're sitting with a lot of this drama right now and because of the complex

Speaker:

frontal cortex that we have, cuz of the hippocampus and how everything is wired

Speaker:

together, we can rationalize our way.

Speaker:

Into knowing how something is unhealthy for us.

Speaker:

But we can rationalize why it is good in that moment, right?

Speaker:

So we are not as primal as what we used to be, where we can go

Speaker:

like, well, but that's stupid.

Speaker:

I'm gonna go back to where I was.

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

It's almost like the complexity of what we have right now.

Speaker:

As great as it is, as amazing as it is for our breakthroughs, which often is

Speaker:

actually now becoming to our detrimental with all this AI stuff that's going on.

Speaker:

And I'm like, well, we need to use this intellectual side that we have

Speaker:

and and real common sense around it because we are literally just being led

Speaker:

by what we want and how that instant gratification is gonna make us feel.

Speaker:

So the first step is to befriend your emotions, because the biggest problem

Speaker:

that we have right now, and that's why I love the book, the Body, you know,

Speaker:

it's all about the body and feeling, is that we made a negative association.

Speaker:

With the body, because when you feel trauma, how do you feel?

Speaker:

It's terrible.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

It's not a good feeling.

Speaker:

And especially, it's a terrible feeling when you can't

Speaker:

overcome the traumatic event.

Speaker:

So now what do we do?

Speaker:

Oh, this body is terrible.

Speaker:

It's bad.

Speaker:

You know what I did?

Speaker:

I abused the hell out of my body.

Speaker:

I had bulimia, I had anorexia.

Speaker:

I was exercising because I was looking for that belief to the point where the doctor

Speaker:

said, your muscles are falling apart.

Speaker:

Y it, your, your tissue is deteriorating.

Speaker:

You need to stop.

Speaker:

Right?

Speaker:

So, and I didn't stop, I didn't care.

Speaker:

I'm just like, I just wanna get out of this feelings.

Speaker:

So I, I went on the self-destructive path where I was subconsciously

Speaker:

punishing my body for, causing me to feel feelings that I didn't understand

Speaker:

and I didn't know how to deal with it.

Speaker:

Firstly, what happens is, and I think when you feel something and you

Speaker:

don't understand it, is be okay with not understanding, but feel hopeful

Speaker:

that there are people out there who can help you to understand it.

Speaker:

That's the good news.

Speaker:

We're not as unresourceful as what we think we are.

Speaker:

Now, shame plays also a very big role, you know, in relationship to asking

Speaker:

for support because what is, first of all, your relationship with support?

Speaker:

Do you feel comfortable asking for support?

Speaker:

Were you shameful asking for support in the past?

Speaker:

So many people wanna do it all by themselves, and when you have to

Speaker:

go and deal with your dark shadow by yourself, your chances of

Speaker:

sabotaging it is incredibly high.

Speaker:

Yeah, it's very high.

Speaker:

We, we sometimes need that compassionate witness that can help us.

Speaker:

But meditation also firstly, is a wonderful source to help yourself.

Speaker:

And, and that's why I, I, you know, I had to learn how to meditate

Speaker:

and it took me quite a while.

Speaker:

I hated meditating.

Speaker:

I hated those, that voice and that, that, those feelings that came up.

Speaker:

And I'm like, God, I don't know what to do with this.

Speaker:

What is this?

Speaker:

You know?

Speaker:

And I'm like thinking of, oh, I'm gonna go have a glass of wine.

Speaker:

I'm gonna go do something else.

Speaker:

You know?

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Have a pizza or watch a gory movie or something that can get me out

Speaker:

of it, or a funny movie, whatever.

Speaker:

So we need to understand that if the bo, if you are in pain, your

Speaker:

body is in pain, and the body can only support you with the tools and

Speaker:

the permission that you give it to.

Speaker:

Reason why is because what do we do when we see someone crying?

Speaker:

Oh my God, here's a tissue.

Speaker:

Oh my god.

Speaker:

You know, when people do that.

Speaker:

I just, I just, I just wanna hang my head because that's a trauma

Speaker:

cycle trying to complete itself.

Speaker:

The body's trying to regulate itself.

Speaker:

And now if you shove a tissue in someone's face with as the much

Speaker:

love and compassion as what you meant by that, you just disrupt it.

Speaker:

The cycle.

Speaker:

Now that person has to somehow find a way to come back and deal with that.

Speaker:

Instead, ask the person, what do you need right now?

Speaker:

Because the moment when they express what they need and there's a solution

Speaker:

to it, that is how you become resilient, not by forced support.

Speaker:

And we don't understand that.

Speaker:

Secondly, when we cry as a child, maybe we were smacked or beaten

Speaker:

up, I was smacked to the oblivion.

Speaker:

You know, my dad was a very violent man and he didn't tolerate or understand a

Speaker:

child that couldn't regulate himself.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

So, you know, Now when you look at this, what does the body associate with crying?

Speaker:

Shame.

Speaker:

Trauma.

Speaker:

Stress.

Speaker:

How messed up is that?

Speaker:

We associate trauma with the very thing that's meant to release trauma.

Speaker:

That's why people say, well, Evette, well if you say that, then why is it that I'm

Speaker:

always crying and I don't feel better?

Speaker:

I'm like, well, does, do you feel safe crying?

Speaker:

No.

Speaker:

I'm like, well, there's your problem.

Speaker:

There is your problem.

Speaker:

You cry, but you still feel shame and stress, and the body can regulate

Speaker:

itself because it has all these blocks that it can get through.

Speaker:

Hyperventilating is another point.

Speaker:

That's actually, it's a trauma cycle.

Speaker:

Completing shaking is a trauma cycle completing.

Speaker:

But look how we respond to these natural cycles actually completing themselves.

Speaker:

The body doesn't feel safe.

Speaker:

It's interrupted.

Speaker:

Oh, I'm, I'm doing something that's made to release.

Speaker:

Oh, oh, you're saying it's wrong.

Speaker:

Oh, okay.

Speaker:

Oh shit.

Speaker:

What am I supposed to do now?

Speaker:

Shut down and it stops.

Speaker:

So what happens?

Speaker:

The adrenaline, the cortisol, the memories, everything becomes boom.

Speaker:

Locked into the cells.

Speaker:

Locked into the muscle memory.

Speaker:

And where does the cortisol in the body go now?

Speaker:

Where pry helps to release all the pathways for releasing it?

Speaker:

Yeah, it's just incredible.

Speaker:

It is.

Speaker:

So, you know, so many people have it have heard of, you know, Louise

Speaker:

Hayes, emotional links to disease and things like this, but the level

Speaker:

of detail that you explain it in, it makes such, such sense that I don't

Speaker:

think there's gonna be a single person watching this that isn't thinking.

Speaker:

Oh yeah, I can see that.

Speaker:

I mean, do you find most people come to you because they've got a serious health

Speaker:

issue to address or a serious trauma that's, you know, they can't move past?

Speaker:

You know, that's a great question.

Speaker:

I have all sorts of people coming.

Speaker:

People with abundance blocks, people with business blocks, success, um, fears,

Speaker:

uh, childhood trauma, anything from, you know, severe abuse to, you know,

Speaker:

emotional neglect, abuse, or people that are just stuck with depression or anxiety.

Speaker:

All of them with elements.

Speaker:

Yeah, with pain addictions.

Speaker:

So yeah, we, we, we do our best to tackle as, as much as we can, but also to

Speaker:

remember that what's most important is to keep the focus on your quality of life.

Speaker:

Because if your quality of life is healthy and good and your mental

Speaker:

health is doing well, the body over time will regulate itself.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

People don't understand that.

Speaker:

Wow.

Speaker:

Well, but you didn't, you didn't fix my, my stage four cancer.

Speaker:

And I'm like, well, we, we need to look at how, how you got there.

Speaker:

You know?

Speaker:

Cuz people with that condition as an example, they

Speaker:

normally, the happiest people.

Speaker:

You always think, well, why is it happening to that person out

Speaker:

of everyone that I can think of.

Speaker:

And that's because they're not worthy of claiming their happiness.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Right.

Speaker:

So if your quality of life and your truest expression of claiming your

Speaker:

happiness and feeling worthy of their happiness is, is not fully in aligned

Speaker:

with the life that you're living, well, the problem is gonna stay stuck.

Speaker:

That needs to be overcome, that needs to be addressed.

Speaker:

When you look at arthritis, you know, always feeling like you have to pick

Speaker:

between two sides and always feeling like the, the ham and the, in the

Speaker:

middle of the sandwich, you know, trying to be the peacekeeper of everything.

Speaker:

Well, screw it.

Speaker:

Let people, let people fight the battles.

Speaker:

Why are you getting involved?

Speaker:

It's not your life contract.

Speaker:

You know?

Speaker:

Get your boundaries in line, you know, get yourself worth the line and

Speaker:

your focus needs to come back to you.

Speaker:

How can you heal if your focus is not with you?

Speaker:

That's why empaths, they struggle with boundaries.

Speaker:

They struggle with feeling people's feelings and their

Speaker:

life is, is is a living misery.

Speaker:

It's horrible.

Speaker:

It's absolutely horrible.

Speaker:

And I used to be an empath.

Speaker:

I'm retired from that now because I have boundaries, but people don't

Speaker:

realize that our, in our psychological boundaries, projects and translates

Speaker:

into our energetic boundaries as well.

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

Right?

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

You can read as much as you want about boundaries, but if you don't believe in

Speaker:

that boundary, and if you don't practice it and express it with, with neutralness

Speaker:

and feeling worthy of it, it's not going to express in your energetic feel.

Speaker:

And anyone listening right now, I know that you have met someone,

Speaker:

but you speak to them and you just know what you can and cannot say.

Speaker:

You just know I'm not gonna ask this question.

Speaker:

You know, I really wanna ask this bit, but I'm not gonna ask it.

Speaker:

You can just feel the the barriers in a very polite way, but you can feel it and

Speaker:

you almost guided by what you're sensing.

Speaker:

This is a great example of someone who has a firm and

Speaker:

healthy grip on their boundaries.

Speaker:

It's such a massive, I I, my, my brain's just ticking over all of

Speaker:

this information because you can pull so many examples of, of Oh yeah.

Speaker:

Uh, of everyday lives and what people are going through and there's

Speaker:

a lot of projection at the moment.

Speaker:

I wanna give you an Evette example.

Speaker:

Do you want give proper MIT example please?

Speaker:

Okay, great.

Speaker:

So let's go back to people who are empaths, right?

Speaker:

So this, this is the best example because I relate to it really well

Speaker:

because I used to be very much an empath.

Speaker:

You know, I would see someone, and I'm sure all of you have had this,

Speaker:

you see someone sitting there, their, their back is facing you.

Speaker:

You can't see their face, but you just feel, oh, Yeah, you know, you feel heavy,

Speaker:

you feel sad, you feel depressed, you feel a little bit, just something is not right.

Speaker:

Maybe you start feeling anxious or depressed.

Speaker:

Now what you most cases are picking up on, and because your boundaries, your,

Speaker:

your space is in everyone else's space.

Speaker:

And not deliberately.

Speaker:

It's because we sense, we're always caring, we're always sensing, we're

Speaker:

always feeling what is going on.

Speaker:

And empaths tend to also have a lot of their boundaries overstep.

Speaker:

So there's, there's, there's, uh, there's a mismatch in relationship to where

Speaker:

does people's boundaries stop and start.

Speaker:

Now you can sense that, and you can feel that, but there's

Speaker:

nothing validating it to you.

Speaker:

So how are you feeling it?

Speaker:

This is now where the quantum field comes in and our electromagnetic

Speaker:

fields communicating from our side to that person, because it's sensing, we

Speaker:

don't realize it, but subconsciously we're always sensing what is going on?

Speaker:

What are you doing?

Speaker:

What, what, what, what, what?

Speaker:

Why?

Speaker:

Because if our boundaries are poor, we are going to subconsciously be

Speaker:

in a state of defense all the time.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

That's why impacts are also tired.

Speaker:

That's why your adrenals are so tired.

Speaker:

They're just gonna curl up into a pink blanket and just rest

Speaker:

and fatigue and immune problems.

Speaker:

And that's why we have gut health issues.

Speaker:

That's now why we have autoimmune issues.

Speaker:

Like we don't see how something so tiny could spiral.

Speaker:

Right?

Speaker:

So now what happens is also what, and we, we feed that information back

Speaker:

to us through our nerve receptors, through our neurotransmitters

Speaker:

and the synapsis as well.

Speaker:

That's moving back and forth because they generate the electromagnetic

Speaker:

field, which is needed to be able to intuitively communicate.

Speaker:

Right.

Speaker:

That's why you can communicate with, um, a piece of metal, but there's not a lot of,

Speaker:

you can ask a specific questions maybe, but it's not gonna give you intelligent

Speaker:

information in terms of your future.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Right.

Speaker:

Because there's no electrical feedback that's strong enough coming back to

Speaker:

communicate with your electrical field.

Speaker:

And so now when you look at that person and they.

Speaker:

Feel bad, your information is communicating back and forth because

Speaker:

electromagnetic fields have the capacity to manipulate and change atoms.

Speaker:

Now, anyone who's a quantum physicist, you know, just take a deep breath

Speaker:

because I'm not gonna even touch on them.

Speaker:

I'm not gonna touch it.

Speaker:

But in a very complex world, there's a way where these electromagnetic fields

Speaker:

transmits your thoughts and feelings and what you're looking for, and is reading

Speaker:

back that person's emotions and whatever it is, you know that's going on in their

Speaker:

mind and heart, back to this field, into your atoms, and through these senses.

Speaker:

We read that information by bringing up certain emotions, feelings, and

Speaker:

thoughts and flashes so that we can relate to what we're feeling.

Speaker:

That's how our intuition works, right?

Speaker:

So, because empaths can feel so well, they are excellent readers,

Speaker:

they are excellent psychics.

Speaker:

They can feel they are brilliant with it.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

That's why they say sometimes the most traumatized people are the best psychics.

Speaker:

And it's actually true.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

You know?

Speaker:

Yeah, and I don't mean it in a bad way, it's just that they, they, the emotions,

Speaker:

they're actually pretty good with it.

Speaker:

But now of course, you have people who are very shut down because of

Speaker:

their trauma and they will struggle.

Speaker:

They most often struggle with their, with their intuition, sensing and

Speaker:

seeing, and all these aspects.

Speaker:

And so because of this boundary overlap that's not so strong, we tend to

Speaker:

take on what they're feeling, right?

Speaker:

We tend to take on what they're feeling, so their memories coming

Speaker:

into our field changes our atoms, and we are reading that information.

Speaker:

That's why it's important to do energetic clearance and space clearance to get

Speaker:

this energy out of your atoms, because we don't wanna stay connected to that.

Speaker:

But now, if you have good boundaries, you can still be connected and

Speaker:

realize that person's feeling harmful, but your boundaries can

Speaker:

actually propel and actually push out any negative memories from staying

Speaker:

with you because it's not mine.

Speaker:

It's not mine and your field translates that we don't understand and realize

Speaker:

how incredibly intelligent this electromagnetic field is because not

Speaker:

only is it a projection of us and our thoughts, it can handle commands.

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

If you yourself understand the command, that's the difference.

Speaker:

Brilliant.

Speaker:

So, so I, I hope that helps.

Speaker:

That's a, that's a really great example of how it works and you know how we can

Speaker:

also feel all these things, but how your state of mind and your mental health can

Speaker:

play a very good role, a potent role.

Speaker:

Like when I travel and to this day when I travel, and especially if it's

Speaker:

a long flight or it's long travels, I.

Speaker:

The mo the moment, wherever I land that first day, I don't leave my hotel room.

Speaker:

I don't leave my apartment or wherever it is that I'm staying.

Speaker:

I don't want people around me.

Speaker:

I don't wanna speak to people.

Speaker:

I don't wanna interact with people.

Speaker:

It's room service on the phone, and that's it.

Speaker:

And the reason why is because when you are also chronically tired or you

Speaker:

are over burnt out or exhausted, your boundaries are automatically affected.

Speaker:

I notice that I get into spit spats with people when I travel and I'm adjusting.

Speaker:

My energy field is adjusting to the place, into people.

Speaker:

Of course, I plug myself into the grunt and I do my thing.

Speaker:

But I can feel, because of the exhaustion, my boundaries are not as good.

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

And I, and I inter, and I, and I, and I always attract people who push my buttons.

Speaker:

And a lot of people who might know me, you know, I, I I have a filter.

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

But I'm gonna let you know how I feel.

Speaker:

So, and especially when I'm tired, I can sometimes be a little bit rude.

Speaker:

I'm not perfect.

Speaker:

I can be snappy, I can be sometimes a little bit over defensive, but it's

Speaker:

because I feel psychologically exhausted.

Speaker:

And that reflects also in my boundaries as well.

Speaker:

It reflects in my energetic boundaries so people can sense that.

Speaker:

Right.

Speaker:

So, and people often respond to that as well.

Speaker:

So it's not that they're be mad, you know, um, mean or bad people.

Speaker:

They're just also responding to me.

Speaker:

And so I go out the second day and then everything is perfectly fine.

Speaker:

I've just, you know, I've been to 43 countries and I, I, you

Speaker:

know, I, I, I'm an observer.

Speaker:

I watch patterns that excludes cities.

Speaker:

I think the other day threw out like 400 flight tickets.

Speaker:

And, you know, that's between, you know, places here, here, here, there.

Speaker:

And that, and I, the, the pattern is so obvious now that it's

Speaker:

indisputable to me personally.

Speaker:

To me personally.

Speaker:

So just something that I wanna share to give you as an example also, that

Speaker:

if you're tired, It adds to it, it just makes it worse when you are tired.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

It's gonna really show up the areas where you need to sort of do the work more.

Speaker:

So yeah, we hear so much about, um, you know, how we all attract

Speaker:

our own reality about how, um, we've got to do the inner work.

Speaker:

The greatest way we can be a change to the greater collective

Speaker:

is to work on ourselves.

Speaker:

And this makes such perfect sense.

Speaker:

Why?

Speaker:

Because if we're not doing that work ourselves and don't

Speaker:

have our own boundaries in order, we can't possibly help.

Speaker:

I wanna add to something what you said there that was so, that's

Speaker:

so, so important, and I wanna say this to anyone listening that.

Speaker:

Um, have been a victim of abuse and someone who is struggling

Speaker:

when you sit there that, you know how we create our reality.

Speaker:

There's so much truth in that.

Speaker:

But something that I also wanna add as an example of how we as humans with lack

Speaker:

of awareness is, is creating damage.

Speaker:

Because even though we are creating our reality, I'm gonna give

Speaker:

an example, I'm gonna do this.

Speaker:

So sometimes when I talk to someone and suddenly this person just triggers me

Speaker:

and they've done nothing wrong, nothing.

Speaker:

And I felt like, I feel like I wanna snap at them.

Speaker:

And when I look at them and I read the body and I'm like, and

Speaker:

I'm, and I'm realizing, wow, I was about to reflect her mother.

Speaker:

I was about to reflect this person's mother because that person was an

Speaker:

emotional state where she felt vulnerable.

Speaker:

She said something, and subconsciously she, the inner

Speaker:

child, was expecting the mother to scream and shout at her right now.

Speaker:

And that was about to pull that experience out in me, towards her.

Speaker:

But because I had awareness and I realized, forget about

Speaker:

the reading that I did, let's pretend that I couldn't do that.

Speaker:

But if you have awareness and emotional intelligence to recognize

Speaker:

that how I am about to respond is not in context with what is happening

Speaker:

right now and to stop that, that is our responsibility as the responder.

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

Right?

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

So was she about to create her reality based on her trauma?

Speaker:

Absolutely.

Speaker:

But did I stop it in its tracks?

Speaker:

Yes, that's emotional intelligence.

Speaker:

I can tell you, and this is why, awareness of why we feel, how we feel, and the

Speaker:

reactiveness that we sometimes have.

Speaker:

Question why you feel, how you feel questioned, whether you are

Speaker:

about to respond in context with what is really truly happening.

Speaker:

Is this really matching my circumstances?

Speaker:

If the answer is no, then you are playing into someone else's reality

Speaker:

that they are about to create.

Speaker:

And I think as compassionate witnesses, as compassionate human beings, if you

Speaker:

choose to be that, then we need to be part of their solution and not feed

Speaker:

into that and let them understand that they can have a moment where they

Speaker:

feel vulnerable, they are triggered, but they can be safe in that moment.

Speaker:

Because subconsciously they are expecting a response that's going

Speaker:

to be upsetting or traumatizing.

Speaker:

And this is what emotional intelligence also taught me.

Speaker:

You know, this is something where this awareness, I cannot tell

Speaker:

you how important that this is.

Speaker:

Even if you're not interested in healing.

Speaker:

This simple advice that I gave you, this can change the world.

Speaker:

It really can.

Speaker:

Look at politicians, look at how they're reacting to each other.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

You know, they, the mommy and daddy issues out and the whole

Speaker:

world's paying for their bullshit.

Speaker:

I'm sorry, but that's really what's happening.

Speaker:

If they had the emotional intelligence to understand, well, if this

Speaker:

person does that, this, this, that is my response, you know?

Speaker:

Correct.

Speaker:

In relation to what's really happening.

Speaker:

We know what's happening up north.

Speaker:

You know, I want this, but I, so now I'm gonna, you, I'm gonna destroy you.

Speaker:

You know, look what's happening there.

Speaker:

We all know what I'm talking about.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

That's a four year old's reaction like that, that's

Speaker:

really sad that, that's tough.

Speaker:

It's hard to see that, but this is what's happening and this is what's lacking.

Speaker:

And now these leaders are showing people how to act and react in a moment

Speaker:

when you can't have what you want.

Speaker:

Oh my God.

Speaker:

I know.

Speaker:

It

Speaker:

is, it is so true that when you see it, you can't unsee it.

Speaker:

And I think, you know, you've talked, I've heard you talk before

Speaker:

about this, how crucial it is to understand whether you are really

Speaker:

picking up reacting from an intuition point of view or from a past trauma.

Speaker:

And that is so, so tricky for some people to recognize when they haven't

Speaker:

even asked themselves that question.

Speaker:

I agree with you, but even I want for anyone in that moment when they find

Speaker:

themselves in the moment of confusion, ask yourself, is my reaction in

Speaker:

context with what's really happening?

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Really, I can't, I can't emphasize that enough because that is going

Speaker:

to be your break breakthrough.

Speaker:

Love it.

Speaker:

Absolutely love it.

Speaker:

That's how you're gonna know my past is now being tapped on, or maybe I am

Speaker:

playing into someone else's wounds.

Speaker:

Do you wanna be part of the solution or part of the problem?

Speaker:

It's a, it's probably the most important question people need to ask

Speaker:

themselves now and how they're reacting.

Speaker:

Cause by everyone just asking themselves that question, Catherine,

Speaker:

if 7,000 people can do that and practice that on a daily basis,

Speaker:

we're shifting global consciousness.

Speaker:

Did you know that?

Speaker:

Yeah, completely.

Speaker:

And, and this is so real.

Speaker:

I mean, you know, people talk about this an abstract idea, but

Speaker:

it's so not, and it's actually for those scientists out there.

Speaker:

Although I think there's a lot of people that are moving away

Speaker:

from just trust the science.

Speaker:

This is demonstratable.

Speaker:

This is provable, and you can see it by the way that we interact with animals.

Speaker:

I mean, my horse is my best teacher because if I'm in a mood and I'm

Speaker:

denying it to myself and I go into his energy field, he's like, Get away, sort

Speaker:

yourself out and then come back in.

Speaker:

I had a show horse career.

Speaker:

I had my own horse too.

Speaker:

Oh, and I understand exactly that dynamic that you just explained.

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

And it's very true what you just said.

Speaker:

It's very true.

Speaker:

I'm so lucky.

Speaker:

You know, the animals, all the animals, the cats, the dogs, the

Speaker:

horses, Guinea piss rabbits, they all show you in different ways.

Speaker:

You know, a predator animal will reflect back to you in a completely

Speaker:

different way to a prey animal.

Speaker:

And in fact, I could literally talk to you forever, but I really,

Speaker:

this is such amazing information.

Speaker:

I really just want to finish off by, you provide so much information, not only 19

Speaker:

books, if you got out there for people.

Speaker:

I mean, it's an absolute must.

Speaker:

I would say, you know, there's metaphysical anatomy.

Speaker:

I mean, I just look at this.

Speaker:

You can see how many tabs I've got in here.

Speaker:

Look at it all the time.

Speaker:

You're not judging.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

How can people connecting with you, and you've got so many resources,

Speaker:

talk us through the resources you've got available to people.

Speaker:

I love it.

Speaker:

So I love to also help people as much as possible.

Speaker:

There's a lot of people out there who are scared to ask for

Speaker:

help or who cannot afford it.

Speaker:

So in my m a t membership, m mat members.com site, I have tremendous amount

Speaker:

of courses that are free that can help you work through emotions, especially

Speaker:

when you go to guided healing session.com.

Speaker:

It will take you two steps to get to a healing session that's like half an

Speaker:

hour long that can help you to meet your emotions and start to shift it.

Speaker:

I have, um, you know, a lot of self-paced online courses about

Speaker:

overcoming codependency, overcoming narcissistic abuse, how to overcome,

Speaker:

oh, so also how to find your purpose.

Speaker:

Like this is a really big one for a lot of people, especially when

Speaker:

trauma knocked you off your path.

Speaker:

Where do you even begin?

Speaker:

How do you get back to that next month?

Speaker:

We actually launch how to Release the Shadow Within, and this is

Speaker:

a brilliant course and this is a certification course also for people

Speaker:

who are just beginning, people who are just meeting their emotions.

Speaker:

People who like it's trauma work for beginners.

Speaker:

It's very gentle, gentle introduction and.

Speaker:

Where people can go from there if they want to, is Intuitive Body Workshop.

Speaker:

That's a one day workshop where you learn how to read the body like a book.

Speaker:

It's so cool.

Speaker:

You actually don't need this book to come.

Speaker:

So you can just come and we're gonna show you, teach you how does the body work, how

Speaker:

does this, the science of the body work.

Speaker:

So that is something that interested you today.

Speaker:

You're gonna absolutely love that course and what you can do after

Speaker:

that, if you want to, we have the M E T level one healing course.

Speaker:

So that's all the healing work and research based on this book.

Speaker:

Two and a half day course.

Speaker:

There we go deeper into how to release the trauma, how to release the memories,

Speaker:

how to work with pain, how to work with all these aspects in the body.

Speaker:

And then of course we have mat level two, which is five days is advanced now we

Speaker:

really go deep into the brain chemistry.

Speaker:

We go into the nervous system, we go into all of these parts and aspects

Speaker:

that we heal and release, and then of course level three and four and so forth.

Speaker:

So we go on with that.

Speaker:

And my, my YouTube channel is a wealth of resource for all of you

Speaker:

just to, you know, go through it.

Speaker:

Event videos.com.

Speaker:

So if you guys just wanna learn, you just wanna understand a little bit better.

Speaker:

You'll see the playlists, so you can pick what kind of like stands out to you.

Speaker:

And you know, Catherine also says that I'm an author of 19 books.

Speaker:

So there's two sides of my personality.

Speaker:

One is the Healing Evette.

Speaker:

Yes.

Speaker:

Of the psychosomatic, you know, Queens.

Speaker:

But then I also have a fun side to me where I love to heal with humor

Speaker:

because when we work with trauma, I notice there's two audiences.

Speaker:

One is the people who need to have a certain experience.

Speaker:

Right.

Speaker:

They, they, they very into it.

Speaker:

They're still going through the pain of it, but there's a lot of people

Speaker:

who want to address the pain, but they need a lighter, um, approach to it.

Speaker:

Absolute.

Speaker:

So I actually created, I don't know if you saw my books.

Speaker:

You have a look at.

Speaker:

I have absolutely.

Speaker:

Brilliant.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

So I started this series called Unfuck Your Life.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Cause people sometimes they need to laugh and why?

Speaker:

What happens when you laugh?

Speaker:

You feel safe, you feel comfortable.

Speaker:

Now you are in a really good state to start to look at these deep things.

Speaker:

So I talked about, you know, depression, anxiety, heartbreak, and

Speaker:

all these books are snippets of what actually happened to me in my life.

Speaker:

So I'm applying my lowest darkest moments, but I weave wording and approaches to it.

Speaker:

And you get a glimpse actually, of my psychology.

Speaker:

You get a glimpse of how I see the world.

Speaker:

That is how I see the world.

Speaker:

And it's from a funny perspective, but also, you know, honoring and

Speaker:

respecting the seriousness of it.

Speaker:

So when you are in a fun state, it's easier to digest the heavy

Speaker:

stuff, and that's why I wrote that.

Speaker:

So for anyone that feels, I prefer to have the lighter side and

Speaker:

digest the heaviness with that.

Speaker:

Perfect.

Speaker:

That is for you.

Speaker:

Anyone else that would like to just.

Speaker:

Know, I need to have this in, in my way where, you know, things are not, you know,

Speaker:

said in a certain way, that's perfect too.

Speaker:

I have those resources for you as well.

Speaker:

And that is my, you know, these books as well, including volume three, which

Speaker:

is the metaphysical anatomy technique.

Speaker:

If you wanna read more about, you know, the stories.

Speaker:

And my life is also included in that.

Speaker:

So I love to help as many people as I possibly can.

Speaker:

People like, what's your brand?

Speaker:

My brand is to support as many people and bes of service to many

Speaker:

people who are stuck in pain.

Speaker:

Right?

Speaker:

So, and that's why I branched out.

Speaker:

And last year, I believe it or not, Catherine, I had a meltdown.

Speaker:

I had a complete meltdown because I was so scared to launch this product line.

Speaker:

Because it's not my brand, it's an offshoot of what I'm doing.

Speaker:

Ma Psychosomatics, I will always do this.

Speaker:

This is my main, this is Evette.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

That and fuck Your Life Serious is just a side to me that needed to be expressed.

Speaker:

And my guides are like Evette, you do courses about

Speaker:

authenticity, but you're not.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

And it was so in my face and I'm like, wow, if you can be who you are and have

Speaker:

courage and, and self-worth in that, what are you showing other people?

Speaker:

And I closed my eyes and I, and I, and I, and I sent the email and I said, publish.

Speaker:

And, and I did it.

Speaker:

I absolutely did it.

Speaker:

It took me 10 years to publish that work, 10 years.

Speaker:

I absolutely love it.

Speaker:

All of the vet's links will be below.

Speaker:

Speaker:

Speaker:

Speaker:

action is something that you sort of said, everyone asking themselves, do

Speaker:

you wanna be part of the solution?

Speaker:

And if you do want to be part of the solution, take a step today.

Speaker:
